Remove the protective plastic cap off the end of the cable

While holding the cable, unscrew the metal thumb-turn to release the cable (if you are not holding the cable, it will probably hit the wall the other side of the room). Release about 1m of the cable and tighten the thumb-screw back up to hold the cable in place.

Insert the cable into the drain opening and release the cabel again. The cable will go through your drain pipes until it reaches the blockage – you will know when this has happened as the cable will stop moving and you will feel some resistance.

Once the cable has reached the blockage, rotate the handle on the back of the drum to twist the cable/spiral tip into/through the blockage to help break it up or latch onto it.

Pull the cable back out of the drain slowly while continuing to rotate – this will help break up the blockage further or pull the debris out.

Flush the drain with water and continue the process until the blockage has cleared.
